Özellikle Windows 2008 ve istemcisi Vista öncesi güncellemeler için ya interneti ya da “Bilgisayarım” özelliklerindeki ayarları kullanmanız gerekiyor. Bu durumda bir tetiklemem mekanizması olarak, komut satırından (Automatic Updates) güncelleştirme prosedürü;

wuauclt.exe /detectnow
wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow --> WSUS debug yaparken.

ile başlatılıyor.
